DELIVERING: THE ART OF MAKING GREAT PRESENTATIONS

Level: Higher Elementary through Higher Intermediate

Time availability: Two sessions of four hours (minimum)

Abstract:
Clear doubts: Needs analysis: How am I doing? What is my idea of a good presentation? Work on this gap. What do I need to become a good presenter?

Group work: discussion about own experience. Cultural differences

Brief reference to elements of a presentation: Purpose, Research, Preparation, Audience, Body and voice, Emotion. Balance between speech and visual aids.

Language: Verbs indicating economic trends. Transition verbs. Questions and Answers.
Q&A Session: How to deal with difficult questions.

Project: Each group/group member is assigned a topic to prepare a five minute presentation to be delivered in class. All presentations will receive feedback from peers and instructor.

These presentations can be recorded on video for further analysis/tutoring on an individual basis.
